As education became increasingly complex, Spyridoula witnessed the growing challenges facing educators and public education. She realized that supporting colleagues required more than classroom leadership; it required strong union leadership, which inspired Spyridoula to become more actively involved in OSSTF. She recognized that protecting quality public education, advocating for fair and safe working conditions, and ensuring educators have a strong collective voice. As the educational landscape continued to evolve, she believed it was important to move from supporting the union to helping lead it, ensuring members’ voices are heard and represented with integrity, fairness, determination and collaboration. Her involvement reflects that commitment.

Spyridoula believes that leadership is rooted in service. She is passionate about protecting public education, strengthening member engagement, and ensuring that every member feels supported, valued, and represented.
