Dear Branch President
We look forward to seeing most of you at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort and Conference Centre tomorrow! We will be starting at 9:45 SHARP! Please make every effort to leave the city with enough time to both drive safely and arrive for registration and light breakfast between 9:15 and 9:45 a.m.
Please use your email distribution list to share the following information with your members:
Direct Messaging to Members by the Toronto Teachers Executive:
Your Branch President, elected by you to represent you in the Bargaining Unit and within your work place, is best positioned to provide you with ongoing information and updates about union activities. At certain crucial junctures however, for example during local bargaining, and particularly if we enter into a job action, direct-messaging the entire membership will be required, especially as we attempt to provide you with information before the press and/or social media gets hold of it.
In this circumstance we will email members from an account called OSSTFTBU@osstftoronto.
Last week we did a test run from this account, sending to you a document entitled “Know When to Consult Your Union“.
If you did not receive this email, check your junk mail. If it’s there, please ensure osstftbu@osstftoronto is able to access your email inbox by adding this address to your contacts list. If it’s not there, then we do not have a current email address for you and you may miss important information.
To ensure we have an accurate email address for you, register or update your current registration information on our website. Our email distribution list is made up from those addresses.
Your cooperation with this will assure that you are kept as up to date on important union matters as is possible.
