The OSSTF Toronto Human Rights Committee is looking for dynamic, participatory workshop proposals from activist OSSTF Members, individuals and groups in the community.
For the sixth year the Human Rights Committee of OSSTF Toronto (Secondary Teachers, Occasional Teachers, and Professional Student Services Personnel) will host an exciting and unique student social justice forum, on May 8, 2019, at Central Technical School. As a committee we have promoted and highlighted outstanding student activism with the Camille Natale award. We also recognize that activism by students in our schools is not always connected to activism in the community. So we created Action:reAction to draw a large number of students together with Teachers and community activists so they could share and learn from one another.
OSSTF Toronto is inviting workshop proposals. All workshops should work with between 10 and 30 participants, and should be 60 minutes long.
The deadline for submission of proposals is Friday, March 8, 2019.
Please download the attached document for more details. If you wish to submit a workshop proposal, please submit your application by completing this online form.
