Please use the electronic form provided on our website to inform the Union Office of the names of your elected/acclaimed Branch Executive members as soon as possible.
Bargaining Unit Council
Bargaining Unit Council is the monthly meeting at which Branch Representatives and interested members hear from and ask questions of the Executive. It is also the venue at which we democratically determine direction through debate and vote on motions. Council is an extremely important part of OSSTF Toronto’s structure, so much so that, in accordance with our Constitution, it is the duty of Branch Presidents (or their designate) – and now the additional elected Council Branch Reps where applicable – to attend.
The first Council Meeting of the 2015-16 school year is scheduled for Thursday, September 17 at 4:30 pm on the 4th foor of the union office at 1482 Bathurst Street. Branch Presidents and elected Council Delegates will need to present ID in order to obtain voting status.
Branch Presidents’ Training Workshop
This year’s workshop will focus on issues important to Branch Presidents as you work to serve and strengthen your Branch. Registration closes on September 23. To register, please use the on line form to submit your Branch Election results and then go on line to register your attendance for the Workhsop.

The Ontario Teachers’ Federation currently has vacancies for 3 OSSTF/FEESO members on the following committees:
- International Assistance Committee – 1 vacancy
- Awards Committee – 2 vacancies
Members of OTF Committees study and report on such matters as may be referred to them by the Board of Governors and/or the Executive or which are undertaken by them with the approval of either of the Board of Governors or Executive. Committee meetings are convened by the chairperson designated by the Executive following the annual meeting of the Board of Governors.
If you are interested in either one of these committees, please complete the application form attached at the bottom of this post and return to the Office of the General Secretary, c/o Randi Macdonald by Wednesday, September 16th @ 4 pm.
