Dinner and a Movie-Marley: One Love - May 23rd 2024

The BIWOC committee (Black, Indigenous and Workers of Colour) is hosting a free movie night on Thursday, May 23rd, 5:00-8 pm. Dinner will also be included. We will be showing "Marley: One Love." Register early as there is a maximum registration of 70 members. This event will take place at 1482 Bathurst at the OSSTF Toronto office on the 4th floor. NOTE: This event is open to D12 members only. We look forward to seeing you there!

This Committee provides a space where issues of concern to Black, Indigenous, and Workers of Colour can be raised and discussed. The Committee also determines an annual set of goals that reflect issues of concern to Black, Indigenous, and Workers of Colour and that advance OSSTF Toronto and public education. The Committee makes recommendations on how to better incorporate anti-racism and decolonization into our union and how to better address the concerns of Black, Indigenous, and Workers of Colour over the long-term and to report same to the District Executive as requested.

All meetings will be held in person until further notice at 1482 Bathurst Street, 4th floor, from 4:45-6pm. Food and refreshments will be provided.
