Congratulations on becoming a teacher! OSSTF Toronto is reaching out to you, as one of the many newly hired TDSB contract teachers of 2021-22. Once hired by the Toronto District School Board, you became union members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation. In order to serve you and your concerns, we are inviting you to a special meeting specifically for you and other new teachers. You will have an opportunity to engage with the members of the OSSTF Toronto Executive and to ask questions directly. We acknowledge that you may have many questions and we want to support you in any way we can.
Topics will include:
- The Basics of OSSTF
- What is the Collective Agreement?
- How can I become more active in my union?
- What kinds of benefits do I have?
- Meet your Executive Officer
Registration for this event is now closed. Please note that a separate workshop for New Teachers is being offered on the Staffing process whose registration is still open.
We will reach out to you again with a meeting link on March 23rd. You can be reimbursed for the cost of your dinner up to 25 dollars.
