The federal government’s underfunding of services for First Nations children living on reserves has created a crisis situation for these children and their families. Have a Heart Day is a child and youth-led reconciliation event that brings together caring Canadians to help ensure First Nations children have the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of who they are. Join OSSTF Toronto Black and Indigenous Workers of Colour Committee on Tuesday, February 5, for an afternoon of crafts, letter writing and sweet treats as we send messages to our Prime Minister and Members of Canadian Parliament to ask them to Have A Heart for our first Nation Children. We will meet at the District’s office on the fourth floor between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
