Blackhurst Cultural Centre Walking Tour

Explore the rich Black history of Toronto’s Bathurst and Bloor area at the Welcome to Blackhurst Street exhibition, an immersive experience that uses archival materials and original artwork to trace waves of Black migration—from the Underground Railroad in the 1860s to Caribbean immigration in the 1960s—while celebrating the entrepreneurs, community leaders, and pioneers who helped shape the neighbourhood.  Submit your name in this form, and you will be notified by May 22nd if you have been selected. Before submitting your name, please look over the program to make sure you can attend. Date: Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. Meeting place: Blackhurst Cultural Centre 777 Bathurst Street 1 hour leisurely walk and tour debrief and conclusion at 6 p.m. Dinner voucher will be provided We have 15 spots available for this event. Names will be chosen randomly (9 TBU members, 3 PSSP, and 3 OTBU) You will be notified by email by May 22nd if you have been selected. Contact euhm@osstftoronto.ca with any questions.
