The International Day of the Worker/ May Day is a holiday celebrated by hundreds of millions around the world in commemoration of the workers who died in the struggle for the eight hour work day.
OSSTF Toronto, in solidarity with CUPE 4400, and other unions, will join in a May Day Rally beginning at 5pm at Larry Sefton Park (just south of Bay & Dundas, north of City Hall at Bay and Hagerman Street) and march south on Bay and then east to St. James Park (Church & King) where union representatives and other pro-labour organisations will have an opportunity to speak to the crowd on the struggles that workers face every day.
