SUMMARY:Anti-Harassment Officer Training
DESCRIPTION:The District and the Teacher Bargaining Unit is seeking interested Members who identify as belonging to equity-seeking groups to participate in anti-harassment officer training and act as anti-harassment officers for District General Meetings and TTBU Council Meetings (for TTBU Members only). \nOSSTF/ FEESO has identified the following groups as equity-seeking: \n\nWomen\nRacialized persons\nLGBTG2SI\nFNMI (First Nations\, Metis\, Inuit)\nPersons with a Disability\n\nThe anti-harassment officer acts as an ombudsperson for each meeting and is responsible for responding to any complaints that may arise based on the District and Bargaining Unit anti-harassment policies\, and for implementing the resolution and complaints process\, if necessary. \nIf you complete the training you are agreeing that you may be appointed to act as an anti-harassment officer for General Meetings and TTBU Council meetings. District General meetings are held twice a year\, in October and June and TTBU Council meetings are held monthly\, usually on the third Thursday of the month. \nThe training will take place on June 8\, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The training will be held remotely and will be provided by Provincial Office. \nDetails about how to access the meeting will be emailed to those who register. \nPlease complete the form below to register for the training no later than Monday May 31\, 2021 at 5:00pm.
